Meet Mitch Richards
Mitch is a Registered Nurse, Independent Prescriber and Aesthetic Practitioner with extensive NHS nursing experience. He continues to bring a clinical, patient-focused approach to aesthetic assessment, prescribing, treatment and aftercare.
His interest in aesthetics developed after undergoing a hair transplant in Cardiff in 2022. As part of his own aftercare, Mitch received platelet-rich plasma treatment and became interested in the clinical science, patient journey and potential role of regenerative treatments. That experience led him to undertake further aesthetics training and establish MR. Skin Aesthetics.
Mitch’s stated approach is open, proportionate and consultation-led: he will discuss what may be suitable, what is unlikely to help, the relevant risks and whether no treatment is the better option.

BAMAN Regional Leader for South Wales and the South West
Mitch has been appointed Regional Leader for South Wales and the South West for BAMAN, the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses. BAMAN is a professional association supporting nurses working in medical aesthetics, with a focus on patient safety, education, professional standards, evidence-based practice and the continuing development of the profession.
Drawing on his background as a Mental Health Nurse, Mitch describes his approach as being “a nurse first and an injector second”. Patient wellbeing, ethical decision-making, realistic treatment planning and education remain central to how he assesses and cares for patients through MR. Skin Aesthetics.
In his regional role, Mitch will support nurses and practitioners across South Wales and the South West through professional networking, education, training opportunities and peer support. The appointment reflects his commitment to raising standards and sharing safe practice.

MR. Skin provides treatment-specific aftercare and explains when review is required. Questions or concerns after treatment should be directed to Mitch using the contact details supplied by the clinic.
Important information before treatment
- Aesthetic procedures have risks. Possible effects, complications and recovery differ between treatments and must be discussed before you consent.
- Results cannot be guaranteed. Outcomes vary according to anatomy, skin, treatment choice, dose, technique, healing and individual response.
- Prescription treatment requires assessment. Booking or paying for an appointment does not guarantee that a prescription or treatment will be provided.
- Tell Mitch about all medicines and health conditions. This includes allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, previous reactions, blood-thinning medicines and recent procedures.
